Daddy's Girls

We had a great time playing at Sciport yesterday.  I wasn't sure how it would go because I knew Katie wasn't going to want to just sit in the stroller and watch but there was definitely stuff for her to do.  She loved crawling through the tunnels with Lilli and splashing in the water. While Lilli was with a group doing a craft she discovered how much fun blocks can be.  It was a fun day!  "It's messing up my polish!" 

It's Spring break in Bossier so we took advantage of the holiday and made a trip to Austin, TX to visit GranJan and PapaRoy. Of course Kelly, Adam and Andrew were around a lot too and Lilli had a great time with her cousin. It was the first time they'd ever played alone together and they did great (most of the time). Lilli said Andrew "hurt her feelings" a few times and I'm not sure he was sure what that meant. :) Difference between boys and girls! We got there Saturday and he spent the night. We spent all day Sunday just hanging around there house and visiting.  Sunday night, Lilli went to spend the night with Andrew at his house.   Monday morning the girls (Pops and PapaRoy decided to stay home) met them there to spend the day in Austin. For the last week or so Katie has been working on her new "trick." She's standing up on her own!  She started just letting go of things that she had pulled up on but now she can stand up in the middle of the room with no help.  She attempted one step a few days ago but is still a little wobbly. I bet it won't take long though! It's kind of fun to watch this stage because we never went through it with Lilli.  She didn't stand without holding something until the day she took off walking at 17 months.   Lilli is staying with Yaya and Cap'n the next few nights but Katie and I went to visit Hailey and Case after we dropped her off.  Case wasn't too sure about Katie at first but I bet they'll be good friends.

Me and the girls met Yaya today for lunch and another birthday celebration.  She and cap'n just got back from the Dominican Republic Monday night and we hadn't seen her in weeks so we were so glad we got to today.  We met at Notini's for lunch and then went to the park for cake, presents and playing.   Pops was just getting back from visiting friends in Oklahoma so he got to be there too.  So thankful for my family. 

We all spent the weekend in a Baton Rouge for the Race for the Cure and my birthday.  My phone got stolen off the stroller while we were at the race so I don't have many pictures but managed to get a few.  We had a wine and cheese party at dad's Friday night so everyone that was in town could get together.  Allies boyfriend, Derrick, did an unbelievable job of putting the trays together and it looked really nice.  I had some good ones on my phone but thanks to Nana for sending this  Later that night, Jimmy and Theresa kept the kids for us so that me, Matt, Allie, Derrick, Jen, Ryan, Michaelyn and Rick could go to dinner at Texas de Brazil. It was a fun night full of food, drinks and laughter.  Allie, Michaelyn, Jen and me walking back to the cars The next morning was the Race for the Cure and my birthday.  The race turned out perfectly.  We had a good turnout and everyone stayed at the tent after for mimosas, shrimp pasta, chicken salad sandwiches...
