Fall Break in Baton Rouge
Sunday morning we got in the car and headed to Baton Rouge for the start of fall break. We were bringing Nana home and also taking advantage of the week off. Sunday was the whole family at Jen’s for dinner. We just visited and had a really low key evening while kids played.
(She took a vacation day. She said in a few years she will still be working but the McCormick girls will not still be a little enough to want to play with her so why waste the time now. I thought that was sweet.)
The museum was super cool. We spent several hours there and it is basically just like POP in Shreveport but about five times the size. The girls had a great time and didn’t seem to even notice that their cousins had to go to school today.
They did not win but she had a good time and it was very fun to watch. We all went out for dinner after but then had to get home for work and school nights. The girls and I will be headed home tomorrow and I know some girls that are very excited to see their daddy and also have our house to ourselves. We haven’t had a night there just the four of us since before he left for Canada so it is time!
And then Monday morning Nana came to babysit so I could go take Jen’s reformer Pilates class (she’s the instructor) before meeting Theresa for lunch.
I swear Dan and Anna asked to go- they are just teenagers that hate pictures. :)

The Betts/Schwab kids had school Tuesday so my original plan was to drive down to New Orleans to meet Michaelyn and take the kids for beignets and then the Aquarium and Insecterium. There was a 70% chance of thunderstorms though so we decided to save that for another day and have fun here. Lizard still brought the beignets

And this evening the whole family (minus Pops and Honey because he is still recovering from knee surgery) went to Anna’s school to watch her basketball game.
