Daddy's Girls

Life went right back to busy after our fall break trip. We have something just about every night of the week. Monday is gymnastics, Tuesday is middle school football games (this is the last week of that though) Wednesday Lilli goes to church and Thursday is gymnastics again. That first weekend after the break, I checked the girls out at noon to go to Dallas to go dress shopping for the dance coming up next week. We found a dress when we got in town and also got to get new crocs when Lil decided it would be funny to run up the down escalator 🤦‍♀️ I’m just glad she didn’t lose a toe! We met Christy and Landry for dinner and brought her back with us for a hotel sleepover.  Those girls miss each other but picked right up like they had seen each other the day before. Maddi’s Mom, aunt and cousins met us there later that evening and the teenagers had their own room. Katie and I went back Saturday, but Lilli stayed with Maddi’s family and went to Six Flags The 3rd pic is her reaction aft...

We had a wonderful fall break in the Dominican Republic with just our family of 4. We have been home for 5 days, but we did not get home until 3 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, which meant we weren’t in bed until about 4 o’clock, and it’s taken me about this long to recover from it, lol. We don’t handle staying up all night like we used to when we were younger! This trip was originally planned for July, but the girls passports did not arrive in time even though we had applied for them six months prior. We had to fly United because of our flight credits, and they did not have the same flights available at this time of year. We had to go through Chicago on our way down there, and Newark on our way back. It made for long travel days, but we finally got to the resort about 5 o’clock that Sunday.  We made no plans to do anything ahead of time, and ended up being really glad we didn’t. We did nothing but wake up and go to breakfast, go down to the beach and stay until lunch, And then...

We woke up this morning to temps in the 50s and for the first time it finally feels like fall! I don’t know if it will last, but it was nice to wake up to. It did NOT feel that way last weekend when we had our last pool night of the season The girls spent last weekend with friends because we will be gone for all of fall break starting tomorrow. Friday night was a pool night with 13 teenagers. Saturday was a girls night with 8 girls. We had to go by and see the new puppies at Koy’s Mom’s house too. I love that Lilli really loves her “friend group” and Katie still has her good friends and is making more everyday  This week was football games Shopping/hanging out with Yaya before we leave And the end of the 1st nine weeks. We are proud of how the girls did! Now we are ready to be on the plane in the morning for a week in the Dominican!
