Wow, Thanks Everybody
I sure have been feeling the love the last 10 days since my surgery. From the flowers and care basket I got in the hospital the day of surgery, to friends and family still bringing us food just a couple of nights ago. Plus all of the calls and texts that mean so much to know y'all are thinking of me.
I mentioned in my last post that I recovered at the camp but I can't thank Yaya and Cap'n enough. We stayed there 4 nights and I really got a chance to rest. They didn't let me do anything (and anyone that knows me knows that was very hard for me! ;) but it's exactly what I needed. The kids were taken care of and entertained. And Yaya was constantly (I literally don't think she sat down) cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and getting me anything I needed. By Wednesday I was ready to get back to my own bed but I really missed her once I got here. Of course she sent enough food home to where we didn't need to cook at all for 2 days.
And it's not like I was without help. I have to thank my Dad too. He came the day before surgery and stayed 10 days. He took care of the dogs while I was in the hospital, helped with the kids at the camp, and then took over when we got home. He fixed meals, cleaned the kitchen, went to the store and took the kids to the park every afternoon
Two friends have bright dinner since we've been here. And Hailey came over Friday morning to sit with 4!! Kids while Dad took me to my postop appointment.
Yaya can't help worrying and was back again Friday evening with enough food to last awhile. She even brought beautiful steaks for our Saturday night dinner.
I can't forget to thank Matt during all of this too. He stayed in the hospital every night even though I told him to go home. He has been right there with everyone else taking care of me. And even totally cleaned the house and cooked those steaks yesterday
Lizard will be here this evening to stay 2 or 3 nights to help when Matt goes back to work tomorrow. I can't thank everyone enough for all your help! I'm still sore as of today but Dr. Tynes said I should be feeling a lot better around 2 weeks postop. Hopefully I'll be much better in a few days!
Cuz everbody loves ya, silly girl!!!
