Busy Little Valentines
Lillian was so sick last week that she ended up missing 4 days of school. So needless to say that made for a pretty low key week at home. Especially since I caught it and didn’t feel great the 2nd half of the week. Going to church on Sunday was the first time we’d left in days.
I was supposed to be in Houston visiting Shanon and Alex and going to Matt’s check-up at Houston Methodist. But all the sickness kept me home with the kids. I was sad to miss seeing them but especially not getting the chance to love on Logan.
It was a good thing we took the time to rest because this week has been nonstop so far with no end in sight. On top of everything we’ve done already, I’m also preparing for my first listing on Friday and to throw Cara and Luke a baby shower that night. I worked book fair Monday, Tuesday and will be back there tomorrow. We were very proud to learn Lillian is February’s student of the month when we got there Monday. She missed the announcement while she was out last week.
Today we woke up on Valentines Day to some sweet surprises from Daddy. We each got a red rose and card. The girls also had some pjs and stuffed animals.
Then this afternoon was Apollo’s Valentine’s Party and as room Mom I was in charge of putting it together.
The minute to win it games were cute and all the kids had a great time.
Our original plan was to grill at home but being a rainy day we decided for a meal out instead and save the grilling for the weekend.
It was a great way to celebrate our Valentines Day!

This afternoon was Katie’s first swim lesson. She loved it!! And Lilli thinks she may want to join swim team so we’re doing a test lesson next week. I told her she’ll have to choose between that and gymnastics because it’s too much to have 3 after school activities (with piano) so we’ll see what she decides.
