Birthday Month
This family never really stops celebrating after the holidays because it’s one birthday after another. Between now and March, we will celebrate probably 75% of all of the birthdays in the family on both sides. Josey’s was 1st on the 5th. We didn’t get to see her on the actual day, but we did get to meet up with her for a surprise breakfast yesterday morning while we were in town.
I wish I would have gotten a picture of her face when she saw us because she didn’t even know we were in town.
Today is Yaya’s!! And while we didn’t get to see her, we did FaceTime and hope that she has the best day. She’s a wonderful Mom, mother-in-law, and grandma to us and deserves nothing but the best today and everyday.
After that, we did some shopping and bought a few things for early birthday gifts and started looking for a dress for her first school dance coming up in a couple of months.
At 6:15, Christy and Landry got there to meet up with us. They had already started back to school so they came after and met us at the Escape Room. I’d never done one before, but it was really fun and I’m already planning a girls night with some friends to try another one.
We escaped with 2 minutes to spare!! We needed a lot of clues, but I want to try a different one and try to not use so many now that I have an idea of how it works.
Everything we did was in that mall so it was perfect to not have to drive around everywhere. We got back to the hotel about 10:00 and I was asleep within an hour. They stayed up awhile later but I put my headphones in and they didn’t bother me. đŸ˜‰ We were up early to meet the cousins for breakfast and headed straight home from there. It was a quick, packed trip and I think Lillian loved her “party.” I’m sure we will have many more celebrations to come!

And Lilli’s is coming up in a couple of weeks, but she wasted no time in telling me it was her birthday month on New Years Day. We decided to start celebrating early this weekend since Josh’s buddies were at the camp and she couldn’t hunt. I took her and her BFF Maddi, plus Kathleen and Britney to Grapevine on Friday. We got there around 2:00 and checked into the hotel before heading over to the mall. We started at the aquarium which was a pretty cool one

From there, we went to dinner at Rainforest Cafe and that was fun too. They made build a bears for souvenirs and loved the “storms” and animatronic animals.
