Happy Easter!

He is Risen Indeed! We have had a wonderful day today celebrating the resurrection. It’s been very different than normal because instead of traveling down to Baton Rouge, we decided to stay home just the 4 of us. I wasn’t home a single weekend in March, and we have 2 trips in April that can’t be changed, so we decided a few days ago to stay home for this one.

We got up to see what the bunny brought and had a quiet morning before going to 9:15 church at Cypress Baptist. We decided to wait until after church for the egg hunt and dyeing. They grow up so fast! Just a few years ago they would have been too excited to wait, but the appeal of not getting dirty and having more to do to get ready won out. 😉

Lilli got the golden egg this year! The afternoon was super lazy. Matt and I both napped and then we ordered dinner and watched a movie all together. We hated that we missed Allie’s birthday dinner last night and church and brunch today

But it was still a nice one and the rest was very much needed.

I haven’t been very good about keeping my blog updated, but things around here have been very busy. I’m still with Pam Burnside’s team, but several of us switched Brokerages about a week and a half ago.

I’m excited for this new company, but it’s been crazy trying to do everything that comes with switching. I’m one of only two buyer’s agents now (she had 5) so that means taking on more clients too.

That, on top of school for Kathleen has kept me pretty busy. We only have 5 1/2 weeks left of the year and I can’t believe our homeschool journey is about to come to an end. It’s the hardest job I’ve ever had, but I have truly loved every second and have cried several tears lately at the thought of it. But I know we will both adjust and she will do great. Her Iowa test results have definitely proved that!
She tested between a 6th and 11th grade level in all subjects and well above the average.

Last weekend was a good one too. Matt and Kathleen spent 5 hours last Saturday morning building a rose garden. The placement was chosen to hide the pool equipment, but the idea came from wanting a pretty backdrop for their prom pictures. Is that not the sweetest thing ever to think of that 4 years in advance??
After that, we celebrate Josie’s birthday. I can’t believe she’s 5 and going to kindergarten. How did that happen??
