First HALF of Summer??
I'm thanking God (and my husband 😊) that I am not going back to teaching next year, or else I'd be way more depressed today, as I realized that summer is just about halfway over. June was pretty busy as I tried to recover from school, while also getting back into real estate, plus all the stuff with the kids. Their extracurriculars don't quit in the summer like they did when they were little so Wednesday is the only day we don't have anywhere we HAVE to be.

Kathleen wrapped up her volleyball season and she really enjoyed it.
Plus she has cheer three days a week, but I don't have any pictures from that because we don't get to watch.

Her bus arrived home at 8:30 on a Friday, and at 6:30 on Saturday morning we were driving down to Baton Rouge to celebrate Nana's 96th birthday. She was literally in town for 10 hours before she left again and had to feed horses and sleep in that time, lol.

Janice and lizard did a great job with Nana's party. We had catered Mexican food and some of the Becks came in from Alexandria. She really enjoyed it and we were glad we got to be there. We spent about four hours visiting with her, and then left to meet Michaelyn and Rick in Lafayette to watch Daniel's fight.

This one did not have the outcome he was hoping for, and his pride was definitely hurt, but it was still really fun to watch and I would like to go again.

The last few times I've seen Nana it's been with a crowd, and I wanted to be able to get one on one time with her. We were only there one night, but I went three different times, once by myself and we had some good visits. Piper is leasing a horse, so we did not think we would have cousin Camp this year because she didn't want to leave him. Unfortunately for him, but fortunately for us he has an injury (minor) that's going to keep her from riding him for a week or two so she decided to come back with us. She just got here yesterday and we are excited for the start of cousin Camp! It will be at least a week, but they are already trying to push it to a week and a half. We will see!😂
Lillian is still feeding horses on the weekend, teaching lessons two days a week, and taking lessons herself. Plus she worked horse camp two days in June

Lillian went with her friend Callie to Cypress' high school beach camp. They left on a Monday and came back on a Friday and had three full days in Panama City. Twice a day worship, twice a day small group, but also about five hours a day of free time that she got to spend with Jackson and other friends.

Jackson left from beach camp to spend nine days with his family at the beach. It just so happened that Maddi's mom was also on a business trip that week, and she stays with us when she goes, so it was girls week! We had five straight days of sleepovers and they had so much fun.

There was a lot of pool time, a dinner out, and lots of hanging around the house. I love her friends and they are so fun to be around. (Katie had Sadie over one night and Britney over another, but I never seem to get pictures of them. They stay busy outside and don't hang out with me as much as the older girls do, lol) Plus anytime you're with our family, you spend a lot of time with horses. Lillian had a barrel race too and three of her friends came to support her. She's shaved about a second off each time she's run so she's getting close to where she wants to be!
