Hello Fall!
Ok, so it's been fall for a couple of weeks now but this weekend it finally felt like it! We started our weekend with the kids at Parents Night Out at the church on Friday while Matt and I went to 2Johns. Perfect for everyone. We had a great meal and a nice night out and they didn't miss us at all because they were playing with friends. Katie was technically supposed to be in the nursery but Mrs. Katie said they never took her because she was "perfectly capable of hanging with the big kids." Didn't surprise me. She's been keeping up with Lilli for a while now. :)
Saturday was so nice because we spent the whole day outside. We went to Huck's 2nd Birthday "Bug" party. This was right up Lilli's alley. There was a lady there with hissing cockroaches to look at and worms to hold.
A baby pool filled with dirt and "bugs" to dig for. And lots of time to play.
Then we ran home to pick up Daddy to go to DixieMaze Farms. But we took the long way so we could stop and show Lilli (ok, I'll be honest that Mommy didn't know many more specifics than she did) what Daddy does everyday. He drew her a diagram of how everything worked last week and it spiked her interest so he wanted to show her in person. It was very interesting and her favorite part was the little jar of oil she got to keep.
After that we got to the farm. It's been our tradition the last 3 or 4 years and they love it!!
Cow train- I've been working on getting Matt to build us one of these. I told him if a four wheeler could pull it he wouldn't even have to pull it. For some reason he doesn't believe me. :)
This is what a successful day at the farm looks like. Covered in dirt from head to toe. What a great way to kick off fall!
