Christmas Parties

This week has been full of Christmas festivities! We had a gymnastics party for Kathleen and my work dinner the same night.

Wednesday morning I took Kathleen for part of her Christmas to get her second piercing. She’s been asking for months but it’s hard to make it happen. We went straight from that appointment to Alexandria to pick up Piper and Anna to come spend three nights. It’s crazy that I don’t have pictures from our few days together, but we really did nothing other than our parties. We stayed home, binging TV together, and it was so nice! Our visits with them are usually packed full, so it was nice to just hang out.

Thursday was the teenage white elephant and pj party and that ended up being a lot of fun. We had 21 kids, so it definitely got chaotic, but it went well and everyone had a good time with no drama. This is a big deal for having that many middle schoolers! They did their white elephant gift exchange, and we had a few games with prizes.

Poor Cozy says it’s hard to party that late!

We went straight from teenage craziness Thursday night to decorating cookies for Santa on Friday morning. Koy, Brynn, and Koy’s younger sister all came over to make them with us.

Koy and Gracelyn left about noon, but Brynn stayed all day. We were totally lazy and binged a show Anna has been watching with her, ate snacks, and did nothing. I felt bad that the cousins were here and kept offering to take them places, but they seemed happy so, I went with it.

We are about to take them back to meet Ryan in Alexandria in just a few minutes, but Lillian and Matt left at 4 AM to go duck hunting so she won’t make the ride. We are sad for them to go, but we have to get them home so that everyone can have their Christmas Eve plans tomorrow. I can’t believe it’s here!
