Lilli's 2nd Birthday!
My Mother-in-law has had a blog for the last few years that the whole family enjoys reading. I'd thought about starting one because I thought it would be a good way for out of town family to keep up with what we'd been doing but never wanted to commit to having to keep up with it. A few weeks ago I saw the book that my Mother-in-law had made of all of her blog posts from the previous year. I was sold! It was so neat to be able to go through and read about everything we had done and I decided I'd like to do the same. What a cool thing for our kids to be able to have one day. So... here goes.
She was asleep before we even got home and took a nap for over 2 hours. When she got up her Daddy was home so we opened presents and playing with those occupied her until dinner. We met some friends and family at Nicky's Mexican Restaurant because her favorite place to eat is anywhere that has "tillas." It was a lot of fun and nice to get to visit with everyone.
I think the birthday was a success! We both had a blast all day and she got to see so many of the people that she loves. All in all, a good day.
Lilli at her birthday dinner
Yesterday was our "baby's" 2nd birthday. It was a rainy day so I had to come up with some indoor activiites to entertain her for the day. We started with a lazy morning and lots of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She is obsessed with that show and waking up slowly and watching it is her favorite thing to do in the mornings. Her Yaya got to our house a little before lunch time and we headed straight to Chuck E Cheese for pizza and playing. It took her a little while to warm up but she ended up having a great time!
