A Sad Day for Hunters in My Family
Anyone that knows us knows that Matt is an AVID hunter. From September- January every year if we're here, Matt is hunting. Well, today is the last day of the season and I guarantee you that it's a sad day for my husband. We are very fortunate that his family has a hunting camp just 45 minutes from our house and Lilli and I are welcome to join him (almost) any weekend. She loves it! We spend our days outside playing in the yard or riding four wheelers and she loves when they get in from hunting and playing with the ducks. She is growing up so differently that I did but I feel so fortunate that she is having these experiences and that this is something our family can do together. Now, I'm never going to get up at the crack of dawn to sit in the cold but I don't doubt that she'll be right there with him as soon as she is old enough. I enjoy our weekends there too because I just get to relax and we're not exactly roughing it. It's a brick house with a full kitchen, baths, tv.... my kind of camping! It's always a nice time with family and friends but I am looking forward to being home together next Saturday morning. Lilli's going to miss going almost every weekend and after seeing how much she loved it this year, I can honestly say that I will actually miss hunting season a little this year too. A little ;)
