Lilli and I went down to Baton Rouge this weekend to visit our family down South. We have 17 members that live between Alexandria and New Orleans but most of them are in Baton Rouge. We saw almost every one of them this weekend. The family gatherings started immediately when we got in Thursday because Pops treated everyone to pizza. Then Friday morning we got up and Me, Lilli, Pops, Nana, Peggy, Jen, Anna and Piper all headed to the zoo. Lilli loves the zoo (ok, you caught me, I do too!) but really had a blast with her cousins there.

The giraffes are Lilli's favorite |
Saturday was full of fun from beginning to end. We started the morning by going to watch my nephew, Daniel's, soccer game. It was only the 2nd time I'd had a chance to go so was really glad to get to do it.

He's in white |
He is a very good player and it was so fun to get to watch. The morning was beautiful too so it was really nice to be outside.
After lunch we headed downtown to watch my cousin, Zach's, band at the Baton Rouge Blues Festival. He plays with Jonathan "Boogie" Long and the Blues Revolution. I'd never heard him play with this band before but they were awesome. Again the weather was beautiful and it was such a fun afternoon with the family.

After dinner we all met up again at Jen and Ryan's house for dinner. What a nice way to end the day!
