Baton Rouge Sunday

We had another great day in Baton Rouge today.  We had a fairly lazy morning with Pops while we waited on Nana, Peggy and Lizard to get to his house after church.  We all had plans to go see Mike the Tiger and then have lunch together.  Lilli really enjoyed seeing Mike but it was too bad he was sleeping the whole time.  We told her he was tired from the game last night.
You can kind of see him to the right
Nana had a request for lunch after.  She and Papa loved going to Sunday brunch at the Mexican Restaurant on LSU campus, Serrano's.  Tomorrow would have been their 62nd wedding anniversary but we lost him on September 24th of last year.  We ordered his favorite foods and drinks to celebrate their years.
Most of the family was able to come over to Pops' house for dinner tonight.  He made us a great meal of burgers, potato salad, green beans and brownie sundaes.  We all ate WAY too much (as we usually do when we get together) and had a blast hanging around the house and visiting.  The girls had a lot of fun playing with Jimmy and Theresa and I'm pretty sure they were glad for the attention.

Lilli and I head back to Bossier tomorrow morning.  We always hate to leave our Baton Rouge family but I know one little girl (and her Mama) that is ready to see her Daddy.
