Happy Mother's Day!

I'm a day late on my post but happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there.  I'm so lucky to have my two sweet and beautiful girls that are my reason to celebrate.  We did our family night on Saturday because we had planned to go to a fish fry at Cassie and Dillon's on Sunday.  Matt ended up catching Katie's virus so we decided not to go because we didn't want to risk getting everyone sick...again. (Luke already caught it from us at his party the last weekend) 

Saturday afternoon we went to the duck pond to feed the ducks and play awhile.  I guess the ducks get fed all day on the weekends because they weren't interested and they normally swarm us. 


From there we went to the oyster bar to sit on the patio and enjoy the nice evening over dinner. 


Sunday morning I got some sweet cards and a beautiful orchid before church. 

And that afternoon it got the rest of my present when I went to get a massage.  It was a nice day and I was glad we spent it all together.  

We had a picnic with Yaya last week since we wouldn't see her over the weekend.  We wanted a chance to wish her a happy Mother's Day and give her a gift before.  We're so lucky to have such a wonderful mom, mother-in-law and Yaya! 

She sent me this Sunday.  Very appropriate... Enjoy every minute!

I think someone may be a little spoiled....

  So Lilli has been sick the last two days with a croup cough.  She's had fever and the cough has been nasty so Mom has been making her stay in.  I think she is getting a little stir crazy and decided what she wanted to do instead.  It started when I told her we were going to see Yaya for lunch tomorrow.  Yaya is being so sweet and going to entertain her for a bit while I get my hair cut and then we'll grab some lunch.  I know someone that will be excited to get out of the house but especially to see her Yaya!

Summertime!

Yesterday was Bossier’s last day of school, but we’ve been in summer mode since they got done LEAP testing a couple of weeks ago. It’s honestly so dumb that they had 10 days of school after testing because they did NOTHING. There was a whole lot of movie watching and playing on computers. On top of the fact that grades were due over a week ago, so it’s not like there was much they could have done. We stayed out on school nights, had pool days and skipped half days to hang with Pops, or friends or just to bake.  Katie had her awards and field day last Wednesday. She ended the year with Straight A’s and a member of National Honor Society. It was so fun to watch her compete in field day events and get to meet some more of her school friends too I checked Katie, Madison and Britney out of school when it was over, and they spent the afternoon in the pool and then we all (with Koy and Lil) went to Josie’s Tball game that night. Bar-J and More Baseball

For Christmas last year, Pops and Honey gave his 3 daughters and 4 granddaughters a weekend at a “dude ranch” for a gift. We picked the weekend because it was Anna and Piper’s spring break and it’s harder for Anna to miss school as a Junior than the other 3. The weather couldn’t have been anymore perfect and the timing worked out perfectly for us to celebrate Allie’s 40th birthday on the 4th too. They came in Thursday and Matt grilled steaks for her actual bday. I didn’t get one picture that night but it was a nice evening. The next morning, we got up and drove to El Dorado to the ranch. It was the “rancher’s experience” and we got in 3 rides, plus the kids got to help care for all the animals Dad has his own cabin and all 7 girls were in a bunk room together.
