Our Dolphin Tale

After a looong drive yesterday we finally arrived in Corpus Christi a little before 5:00. We were traveling for 9 1/2 hours including stops
We took a long break on the south side of Houston

But the kids did great! Katie only slept for 30 minutes and Lilli didn't sleep at all but they watched movies, colored and played together.  We played for a while and had dinner that evening but were all in bed fairly early to get ready for today.

It's Alex's birthday and we had a whole day of fun planned.  We played around their house for the morning but after the babies napped we went to Texas State Aquarium.  Lilli is "obsessed" with dolphins and this aquarium has 2, Shadow and Kai.  There is a really cool underwater viewing area and this is where Lilli got her first glimpse of a live dolphin.  I think it's safe to say she is even more obsessed now.

There was also a cool dolphin show where the trainers had them do tricks.  Lilli volunteered and opened the show by running back and forth in front of the tank holding a torch.

This was by far our favorite part of the day but the whole place was very cool.  Lots of fish, birds and even several pools to touch things from sharks to stingrays.

After the aquarium we made a stop by North Beach to play for a little bit.  We were not prepared with suits or towels or anything but that didn't stop Lilli from getting fully in the water.

The only thing that could have made today better is if Matt could have been here too.  We really missed him but I have to take a second to thank him because its because of his hard work that we get to have these awesome experiences. We love you Dad! 😄
