Lilli lost her 2nd tooth last night and this morning she ran in to the living room to tell me the tooth fairy had brought $1! She was so excited and I can't believe how quickly she's growing up. Sniff...
There are only a few weekends lefts of hunting season and last weekend Katie and I decided to go up to the camp with Matt and Lil for a night of it. Shanon and Jeremiah were in town and we wanted to visit with them and spend time with the rest of the family up there too. We only stayed one night to get back for gymnastics and work, but for everyone else, there was a lot of hunting and memories made. Lillian had to miss Koy’s first tournament of the season, but there was no way she was missing hunting with her dad for that! We got back on Sunday and he came over to tell us about it. The weatherman had been forecasting snow for a week, but that forecast changed to mostly ice by the time it rolled around. The kids were already out for MLK day, and we were pretty sure Tuesday would be out too since we wouldn’t get above freezing, but they ended up being out through Thursday. Some people didn’t mind driving on the ice, but I was not one of them! I stayed home so some of the girls...
Matt and had the honor of being invited to celebrate Evan and Hannah's wedding in Oregon and it was a beautiful weekend! It was the first trip we had taken alone since we went to the Florida Keys a few years ago and it was nice to get away. My whole immediate family was there so we didn't get a ton of alone time, but we did have our own Airbnb and got to have breakfast together each day. We got there on a Thursday and the rehearsal dinner was that night. Friday was our free day and me, Matt, Dad, Janet, Jennifer and Allison drove around to sightsee and did a few short hikes. We drove across the Washington state line to have lunch too. Everyone was pretty tired that night, but me, Matt, Jennifer and Allison went to a wine bar for a couple of hours at the hotel where they were staying and watched a musician We wanted to do a hike that day that we did not have time for, so me, Matt and Allison left about 730 Saturday morning to do the 2 1/2 mile hike up to Multnomah Falls. Those ...
We came home from the game Sunday and went straight to Petsmart for the guinea pig. Well... once we got there and did some talking with the lady we realized how sociable these animals are so we got 2. 🤷♀️ They were the last two in the cage and we couldn’t leave one alone! The girls named them Max and Binx (Hocus Pocus characters since it’s October) and love them already. They are pretty cute! Wednesday we made a quick trip over to Dallas to watch Austin’s baseball game and bring him and Josey home with us. I asked Rachel and Chad if he could skip a couple days of school and come play for fall break and the girls were excited they said yes! We got there with just enough time to eat dinner and go to the game. It was bedtime by the time we were home and we were rolling out to head back to Bossier by 7:30 the next morning. A very quick trip but so glad we got to see him play and that we get 2 extra days! We went to the park with Cara and Josie, played with all the animal...
