Dancing Under the Stars

We woke up Saturday morning to go visit Nana who had just had knee replacement surgery on Wednesday. She is tough for a woman of 87. The physical therapist said she was where she needed to be 2 weeks after surgery after only 3 days.
From there we went to see the work on Pops and Honeys new house before meeting all the cousins at the hotel to swim for the afternoon.
They love being together! And all but Katie (who was napping with her Daddy) stayed in the pool for over 2 hours until it was time to go to Morgan's graduation dinner at Jimmy and Theresa's. It was so nice to get to catch up with her. She's been interviewing all around the country and has no idea where she'll end up so I was glad to get the chance.

As much as I love the family visits, the best part of the day (to me at least ;) was going to see The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra play The Beatles. It was at the LSU Rural Life Museum. I had never been there before and it was beautiful. The music was amazing and Katie danced under the stars all night.
Lilli was exhausted after her hours of swimming so we only made it to intermission. But considering that was at 9:00 it was still a late night for us. It was nice to do something different from our typical Baton Rouge evenings. A great Mother's Day present to me!
