The Rest of the Wedding Weekend

The wedding may have been the highlight of the weekend, but we had two whole days of family fun. Friday night we met everyone at the hotel most people were staying in for pizza and pool time. The rehearsal was a luncheon so even the groom got to be there.

On Saturday, Dad made breakfast

And then took the kids to the pool while Janet and I walked that morning. Then we met a lot of the family at George’s for lunch. It was my first time eating inside a restaurant and the first time I’d been inside, unmasked with strangers so it was kind of weird at first but quickly got over that.

We went to visit Nana at her place to check out her new apartment. She’d moved next door to a two bedroom to give her some more space.
The only downfall is she no longer has a patio with a private entrance so kids can’t go inside anymore. KatieJane was a little sad she didn’t get to visit with her much for the weekend (no kids at the wedding and too busy swimming Friday night) so I came up with a way to remedy that. Dad and I picked her up at 7:00 on Sunday morning and got a bunch of donuts so that everyone could come visit and say goodbye to her easier as they left town.

(Anna was showing off her dress for 8th grade graduation because no one but parents and siblings get to go because of Covid.)
It’s always hard to say goodbye but it makes it easier that we have plans for the summer. Next up- first beach trip in 2 years! Pics to come ❤️
