In Memory

Heaven gained an Angel when Rachel’s Daddy passed away on Thursday. My heart breaks for her and her whole family and I have shed many tears these last few days. I know Mr. Rex is happy but I don’t want her to have to feel the pain of the loss. She may be 40, but she is still a Daddy’s girl and I grieve as much for the pain of those still here as the loss of him. He was the sweetest man and genuinely loved life. And he loved his family even more. He always made me feel like our family was his family too and I think he truly felt that way. I like the way she and her sister put it, he had the biggest heart and it just couldn’t keep up with him anymore. ❤️

Rachel, Chad and the kids were able to go home last night for some much needed rest and family time. I’m so glad she is taking care of herself today and will be back here for her Mama and the services in a few days. Those last 2 days she was here the kids were still having a blast. They didn’t know anything was going on until they were leaving town because they were busy celebrating Case’s birthday

The kids were all still at our house Wednesday morning while Case swam in his last meet and Hailey came to get them about 1:00.

She had all 6 kids that night so they could wake up with the birthday boy on Thursday.

They crawled in his bed at 9 AM and sang Happy Birthday and he slept through it! They did eventually get him up and they played all day until going to Lulu and Papa’s (Hailey’s parents) house for a swimming and pizza evening.

I met them over there to celebrate too and took the girls home with me. Austin and Josey got one more night with the boys but were very glad to go home to Plano yesterday. We are sorry for the reason they will be back in a few days but I know the girls will be happy to see them again.
