Finally Got Us
After 2 years of avoiding it, Covid finally hit our house. Lillian and I both woke up Monday morning kind of achy but I chalked it up to post workout stuff and took some ibuprofen and we went on. By 10:00 she was asking me to check her out of school and I told her she better really be sick! 😉 Well I guess I jinxed it because about the time my morning meds were wearing off I started to realize I might not feel so great either. By the end of the night, my temp was 101 and I felt terrible. Lilli’s temp was about the same and I was keeping my fingers crossed it was just a cold. Our at home Covid tests the next morning proved that was not the case. She had a pretty easy time with it. Didn’t feel great, but no fever after that first day and only asked for DayQuil Tuesday and Wednesday. I thought she was pretty much over it but fever is back tonight so we will see. 🤞I was hoping mine would be similar but I didn’t have as easy as a time. My throat got worse and worse and I was almost in tears with every swallow and meds didn’t touch it. Today is finally a little better, and I hope by tomorrow I’ll feel almost normal. Luckily I had Matt to take care of me. He drove around to 5 stores finding throat spray to finally get me some relief. You can keep your flowers and chocolates, this is the kind of stuff that shows love ❤️
The kids were kind of mad they only got one full sick day. Virtual learning has really taken away the benefits of being sick but it only took Lilli about an hour and a half each day and I shortened Katie’s too.
Lilli and I are super disappointed our weekend had to be canceled too. We are supposed to be getting to Hot Springs about now for some one on one time. We had tickets to the horse race and manicures booked. We will definitely have to reschedule. After months of Lilli and Matt being gone hunting together and Katie and I spending weekend alone we were looking forward to switching it up.
Matt and Katie have stayed well so far. I’ve tested Katie twice because she had a little cough but it was negative. She is definitely not sick because she spent the week teaching herself to do front handsprings. Which is surprising because she cuddled with me everyday and the only precaution we took was her not drinking after me and I slept separate from Matt but we are thankful!

Sunday 2/11 update: Katie is positive too but doesn’t seem to feel as bad as Lillian and I did
