Baton Rouge Christmas
We had 4 days at home before we turned around and went back to Baton Rouge. Friday night was Dad and Janet’s immediate family Christmas. They had all their kids and grandkids, except for Anna who had another Christmas party the same night.
Janet cooked a delicious meal and then we opened gifts from each other. It was a low key night and good to have a smaller group (only 15 of us, lol) to catch up after not seeing each other for awhile. We were all excited to hear about Evan’s proposal and his and Hannah’s wedding plans
We had a few hours of downtime to shower and nap before everyone showed up for our 2nd Christmas of the weekend. There were 22 of us this time and we all went to Jen’s for dinner, presents and games. It was a very fun evening, and Ms. Cozy got to join in this party. She fits right in and doesn’t mind the crowd
We were up and out early so that we could have some time to unpack and get a little rest before meeting Cara, Luke and Josie for the Roseland lights. It’s a tradition to go together every year, but Matt skipped it after being in Baton Rouge the whole weekend. We forgave him. 😉
It was a fun, full weekend that wore us out, but was definitely worth it.

Saturday morning was the 13tn annual great turkey giveaway for The Shepherds Market. We helped give away 500 turkeys complete will all the ingredients for a full Christmas dinner. Including a loaf of homemade bread made by my Dad and Fran
