Judges Holiday Classic

Gymnastics 2023-24 season is officially underway! Kathleen had an in-house meet last month, but the meet in Hammond on Saturday was the first NGA meet of the season that counted towards her recorded scores. She ended up first on Beam and Floor, and 5th All Around with a total score of 36.475.

She didn’t place on bars or vault but we have all season to work on those. She has a rip on her hand that ripped open during warm-up that hindered her some on bars. And she knew going into it that she wasn’t quite ready for vault because they just changed the requirement two weeks ago. But she’ll get it!

Me, Matt, Lilli, Pops, Honey and Piper were all there to cheer her on! My Dad has never missed a meet and I know she gets so excited to see her people

👆🏻This is Cheyenne, her favorite coach that has also been giving her private lessons

It was a very quick trip! We got there about 4 o’clock on Saturday afternoon and stopped at Nana’s to see her.

We went to dinner with Pops, Honey, Jen, Lizard, Anna and Piper, and then went back to Dad‘s house to have an early night to leave for Hammond at 6:15 AM. As soon as the meet was over, we were headed home and home about 4 o’clock Sunday. It was exhausting but worth it to watch her do what she loves! Ragan and Jackson were here with Bella and Gypsy, but they said they weren’t quite ready for puppy babysitting, so she went to stay with Koy and his family for the weekend.

His mama sent us this 😉 poor puppy probably doesn’t know where she lives. She whined for about 20 minutes after I picked her up because I don’t think she thought I was coming back. She spent the first eight weeks of her life in that shop and I’m betting she thought she was back there for good. ❤️ we go back in 4 days for the turkey giveaway and Craig Family Christmas, and this time she gets to go!
