Made it to Thanksgiving Break!
The last few weeks have been busy around here too. I’ve realized that’s just my life now. We leave for school about 6:30, get home by 3:30 but leave again by 4:30 4-5 nights a week for riding, gymnastics and cheer and get home between 7:00 and 9:00. I feel like I’m never home but can’t complain. My grandpa always told me a busy person is a happy person. 😊
She and Matt hunted for a few weekends before she got it and she was so excited!
The next weekend was Kathleen’s first gymnastics meet of the season. It was the in-house one, so scores aren’t reported to NGA, but it’s good practice for the real ones coming up. She was 1st on bars, 2nd on floor, but last in vault and beam. We knew her vault needed work, but were surprised she fell off the beam twice. Of course we were still super proud and it’s amazing to see how far she’s come since last season.
Well… turns out she was competing with the flu. She felt fine when we got there, but by the time we were leaving, she said she didn’t feel very good, and got home to a temperature of almost 101. It was a bad one and she could not eat for five days and missed the whole week of school before Thanksgiving break. I even had to miss two days to be home (Matt missed one too) with her because she was too sick to be alone. Luckily no one else caught it.
Lillian has been busy riding Little Rock and working for Vivette. She’s also made some new friends lately and has been hanging out with new people and reconnecting with old ones. She broke up with Koy about a month ago and it’s been good to see her enjoying high school
2 weeks ago was a huge milestone for our girls and their Daddy too. Kathleen got her first deer and it’s a nice one!

That same morning, Lillian had a milestone too when she got her first deer without her Daddy in the stand with her. Big day for our girls!

I did use the time I was home to get Christmas decorations up and pulled out a tree for my classroom too. We had a re-test yesterday and I brought ornaments for all my students to color and decorate my tree.

Now we are ready for 9 full days of no responsibilities! Yay for Thanksgiving break!
