Busy Little Girls
For a short week there sure has been a lot packed in to it! The kids went back to school Tuesday and I had phone duty at the office and was gone most of the day but it was also the only day we were home in the evening. It was a rainy, cold day so I made one of KJ’a favorites, chili!
The rest of the week was nonstop. I ate lunch with both of the girls before subbing for Katie’s class the 2nd half of the day.
It went better than the 1st time I went but I sure do wish her teacher would let me be a turn on a movie sub instead of let’s try to teach them how to read sub:)
And soccer. We finally walked in the door a little before 7:00
Look at the difference on their faces on this motorcycle!
I’m thankful for good friends that let me drop them off and go home and get in the bath so that I could wake up Friday feeling a little better.
And then Friday night was another Girl Scout function at the Bossier Art counsel. They went on a tour and scavenger hunt as part of earning a badge. It was definitely a lot of fun but the third night in a row that we were not home until after seven. So hopefully after today’s soccer game we can get some needed rest!

Thursday I went to make copies for the kindergarten class before working at the food pantry at the church. I wasn’t feeling all that great so decided to go home instead of my office to get some work done and Thursday night was a Girl Scout tour of the Bossier Parish sheriffs station.

And then Friday was back to the school to finish copies for kindergarten. I probably spend a total of 2 1/2 hours over those two days. They used to have someone to make copies and that was their only job but now they rely on parent volunteers. I will say though that I am listening to my 89-year-old grandmother and have told them that I will no longer be making copies. Between helping out as a free sub, working at the church and trying to actually work somewhere in between, I’ve got to cut back somewhere.
