Saturday morning play date

What a great Saturday morning!  We didn't really get up and moving until about 9:30 and then I went for a run.  Just as we stopped to play at the park, I got a text from Rebecca inviting us over for a play date.  That sounded like much more fun to her than playing in the sand by herself so we headed over.  Their backyard is a kids dream.  Just look at this...
What kid wouldn't love it? Lilli was too nervous to climb up and slide down.  She thought about it a couple of times but ended up just playing with the toys at the bottom but that was still a blast! She loved the bus and playing t-ball too. 

Definitely a fun morning! Now time to rest up before we boil crawfish this afternoon.

Winter Storm 2024

There are only a few weekends lefts of hunting season and last weekend Katie and I decided to go up to the camp with Matt and Lil for a night of it. Shanon and Jeremiah were in town and we wanted to visit with them and spend time with the rest of the family up there too. We only stayed one night to get back for gymnastics and work, but for everyone else, there was a lot of hunting and memories made.  Lillian had to miss Koy’s first tournament of the season, but there was no way she was missing hunting with her dad for that! We got back on Sunday and he came over to tell us about it.  The weatherman had been forecasting snow for a week, but that forecast changed to mostly ice by the time it rolled around. The kids were already out for MLK day, and we were pretty sure Tuesday would be out too since we wouldn’t get above freezing, but they ended up being out through Thursday. The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

We all love this time of year. For the last 4 days we enjoyed lots of laughter (and good food) surrounded by our family. It started in Baton Rouge on Thursday when we went down to spend a couple of nights with my side of the family. We went out to eat a couple of times plus had 2 big family gatherings for Christmas.  The first picture of all of Pops and Honey's kids and          grandkids together. Jen kept trying to think of something to take the kids to do Friday until Lillian finally said they didn't want to go anywhere, they just wanted to play. I love how much they enjoy spending time together.  Then Sunday we went to church before going to Vivian to celebrate with the rest of the family. It was a nice day full of good food and watching family movies. Of course the highlight for the kids was all the presents but these kids play great together too.
