Race for the Cure 2017

Another great weekend for the books. I can't believe that was our 7th annual Race for the Cure. The crowd has gotten smaller over the years but we still had a good turnout and raised close to $1000 for the Komen foundation. We also had a nice Friday night party at Dad and Janet's that includes some stories and prayers in memory of my Mom and others we have lost. Even though she didn't have breast cancer, we have always said that "cancer is cancer" and if we can help others battle their disease, that's the tribute we want to do in Mom's name. We may switch it up next year and do the American Heart Association walk since that's hitting even more close to home between Matt and my Nana. Whatever we decide, I think we will always continue to do something in her memory.

Saturday morning was beautiful and the perfect day for our walk. It's always leisurely, it took us 1:09 to walk 3.2 miles :) but we love having the chance to visit while we do it too.

Then Saturday night we celebrated my birthday a few days early. And Sunday was a brunch to celebrate Rachel and Chase's baby that is due in May. Honey outdid herself by hosting 3 parties in 36 hours but she knows how much my Dad loves having everyone at his house and we love her so much for doing it for him (and us!) Thanks so everyone that continues to support us. It means more than you know. :)
