Houston Visit

We FINALLY got to meet Logan! That was a long 3 week wait and the girls were so excited to meet their newest "cousin." Lilli sat and held him over an hour last night and even let the adults eat dinner together while she did.

Karie wasn't so sure about the baby getting all of the attention but she really loved him too. They are doing great! Even though Alex took a couple of weeks to feel better after delivery, she and Shanon were so relaxed and he is such a calm baby. He'd hang out in our arms and look around or sleep. Of course he still prefers his Mom, but that's the way it's supposed to be. :)

We stopped by Rachel and Chase's house on Sunday to meet Anson too. He's so cute and they seem to he doing great too.

We had to make a trip to Houston Methodist for Matt's 6 month check-up too. He always dreads it but it couldn't have gone better.
(He had me take this picture for Lilli. She is fascinated by how many wires they can hook to her Daddy- if she only knew!)

The doctor said he looked great. The stress test showed he's functioning at about 92% of a healthy 35 year old which I found amazing only 6 months after heart surgery. He's always going to have to be on medications and needs to be more careful about activity and diet than the average person because of the disease and scar tissue, but that is all manageable. They even said we don't have to come back for 6 months which was great news to us! The defibrillator doc doesn't have to see him for a year.

Pops and Honey stayed the night in Houston on Sunday so that they could entertain the girls for us while we were at the doc. They spent 4 hours at the children's museum and weren't even ready to go when we called to tell them we were done. :) Thanks Pops and Honey! They had a great time and we really appreciate the help!
