Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful time in Baton Rouge and Covington for Easter weekend. Friday night the whole crew got together for dinner at Dads and we spent the night with Nana for some extra time with her. And then Saturday morning we drove down to Covington to spend the day at Michaelyn and Rick’s house. It was a lazy day of grilled burgers, swimming, boat ride and egg hunting and dyeing

We got back to Baton Rouge about dinner time and made a last-minute decision to pick up Nana and take her to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. That was an added bonus of the day for some extra time with her.

And Sunday we woke up to the Easter bunny who had brought all kinds of goodies in their baskets and left eggs outside for another hunt.

It was an early morning because we were at church at 8 o’clock to get there a little early for the service to celebrate the resurrection! All the baskets and eggs are fun but this is the reason for Easter and I love that the kids get involved and know that.

We had to leave before the Easter brunch but it was so nice to spend the time with the family. This is the holiday we do in Baton Rouge in each year and I love the traditions we’ve made
