Let’s Jump In To Art Exhibit
The weather had different plans for Saturday so our art exhibit ended up being moved to Sunday. We were under a severe thunderstorm and tornado watch all day and even the church had to cancel our Easter carnival. As much as we hated it being moved, it worked out because poor Lillian was sick with a fever and stomach virus all day. She never got off the couch and was asleep by 7 PM. So Sunday we missed the Palm Sunday service too so that she could rest up for her show. She still wasn’t feeling great but put a smile on her face because the show must go on! Mrs. Kathleen had all of the art on display and I think it made all the kids feel so special that their art was up just like the adults art that they see for sale every time they are there.
Lillian had 9 pieces. Most were matted and framed and she had named them all. There’s an option to sell any anyone shows interest in but I can tell you some are not for sale. The cardinal was Yaya’s Christmas present that we borrowed for the show. The rabbit will be part of my Easter decorations every year. The dragon and frog hang in her room. And “You Make Me Happy” is going in a frame to hang as soon as I can. She chose those words because I sing it to her. ❤️ I’d say it’s pretty impressive that after 8 months of class there are 5 pieces with a spot on a wall. And more to come!
(I love this pic) Kathleen also took a minute to call each child one by one and say a little something nice about them. I thought the show was an incredibly special way to show off her talent and I’m so glad we found this class.

Yaya came in for this and she was so happy to have her family there supporting her.
