Eventful Week
So many people are bored out of their minds with this quarantine right now but that was definitely not our experience this week. Now that schools are officially not going back to the classroom this school year, Bossier started having teachers send assignments for grades. Until now it had been mostly review but we are teaching new skills. The amount of work is still very manageable but definitely more than we have been doing.
(Almost every family group on both sides of our family has started a garden in the last few weeks- Matt is loving it!) Lillian has been riding back and forth from the garden to the cabin on her own some. That plus the fact that Matt thinks she’s old enough to go up there with him and stay at the house while he’s working or hunting means it was time for her to have her very own iPhone. Well... Matt got a 2nd iPhone... We’re letting her borrow it. I’ve already read through her texts twice just to let her know we’re serious 😉 She doesn’t care. She feels really big right about now.
But the MOST exciting news is that after literally about 7 years of talking about it and going back and forth on when and where.... our new home is closed and we have started moving in!
The kids jumped in the FREEZING pool before they even saw their bedrooms. They are beyond excited and started the process of moving today. Today was shed, attic and garage. Tomorrow is storage buildings and we’ll slowly move the things that can’t be boxed before the movers come for the heavy stuff Wednesday. In the next week or 10 days we should be sleeping there. Getting a new house organized with pool breaks sounds like the perfect way to spend the rest of this quarantine.
It was also Earth Week since Earth Day was Wednesday. The perfect opportunity to bring the classroom outside.

Katie is the only true extrovert of the family and she “may” be driving us a little crazy by never wanting to be alone. But she’s finding ways to stay in touch with people from afar.
