First Fall Weekend

The first day of fall was Wednesday and that just so happened to be the day of our first real cold front. The last few day we’ve been waking up to temps in the 50s with highs in the 70s and low 80s. Katie and I have been taking full advantage and doing some of our school outside.
We had a great school week and also had some Mom and Me time and got pedicures together on Thursday. She had been asking to go to Parents Night Out at gymnastics on Friday night because she had friends going, but I had been telling her no because I had no plans and didn’t want to have to keep myself from falling asleep as I waited to go get her. 😉 I changed my mind when I decided to take Lillian to a movie to get some one on one time with her too. It was the first time I’d ever taken her to do anything (outside of being at someone’s house) on a weekend night. She and I had a good time and Katie had a blast playing laser tag, doing gymnastics and eating pizza with gymnastics friends. We were out until after 10:00 and that’s a late night for us!

Saturday morning, Katie and I went to pick up Josie at 7:30 so Cara could go to work and Luke was hunting

I had forgotten how tiring 3 year olds can be! By 10:00 Lillian had made pancakes, we’d played with the doll house, jumped on the trampoline, played with all the toys upstairs, fed all the animals and were setting up a tea party. Lilli looked at me at that point and said, “I hope she still takes naps.” 🤣 but we had the best time (and she did nap for an hour and a half 😉) and she stayed until 8:00. Lily and Kelli came over too and stayed from about 2:00-8:00.  Kelli went back to school so we hadn’t seen them since school started and it was good to catch up! We sat outside and visited and enjoyed the weather most of the day. Love this time of year!
