Last Week Catch Up




It’s been a busy 10 days around here. Last week the girls went with Matt to dig potatoes in Capn’s garden in Vivian. The cousins were there too and they knocked it out quick! (With Capn, Matt and Josh of course) We have two giant sacks in the garage that I am looking forward to enjoying over the next few months. 

Lilli has been babysitting a few times a week
And Katie and I are enjoying the baby time too ❤️

Kathleen has been busy with preparing for gymnastics nationals and keeping up with her busy social life. 😉 she’s had play dates with 5 different girls (all different times) and 3 or those were sleepovers, not including the team pool party last Saturday 




Lilli had another pool afternoon here today and has been pretty consistent with her once a week pool party, with boys and girls 😳 I don’t mind being the house they go to though 

And it’s been a big deal with our “farm” too. Shania has been broody for 3 weeks and we decided to let her hatch some eggs. The first one was born overnight and we expect a second by tomorrow morning. 🤞

3 eggs to go! They are so cute and will be fun to have babies that aren’t in my house. 😉 This week looks about the same busyness and it’s going way too fast for this Mama! I need to slow down summer.

I think someone may be a little spoiled....

  So Lilli has been sick the last two days with a croup cough.  She's had fever and the cough has been nasty so Mom has been making her stay in.  I think she is getting a little stir crazy and decided what she wanted to do instead.  It started when I told her we were going to see Yaya for lunch tomorrow.  Yaya is being so sweet and going to entertain her for a bit while I get my hair cut and then we'll grab some lunch.  I know someone that will be excited to get out of the house but especially to see her Yaya!

Summertime!

Yesterday was Bossier’s last day of school, but we’ve been in summer mode since they got done LEAP testing a couple of weeks ago. It’s honestly so dumb that they had 10 days of school after testing because they did NOTHING. There was a whole lot of movie watching and playing on computers. On top of the fact that grades were due over a week ago, so it’s not like there was much they could have done. We stayed out on school nights, had pool days and skipped half days to hang with Pops, or friends or just to bake.  Katie had her awards and field day last Wednesday. She ended the year with Straight A’s and a member of National Honor Society. It was so fun to watch her compete in field day events and get to meet some more of her school friends too I checked Katie, Madison and Britney out of school when it was over, and they spent the afternoon in the pool and then we all (with Koy and Lil) went to Josie’s Tball game that night. Bar-J and More Baseball

For Christmas last year, Pops and Honey gave his 3 daughters and 4 granddaughters a weekend at a “dude ranch” for a gift. We picked the weekend because it was Anna and Piper’s spring break and it’s harder for Anna to miss school as a Junior than the other 3. The weather couldn’t have been anymore perfect and the timing worked out perfectly for us to celebrate Allie’s 40th birthday on the 4th too. They came in Thursday and Matt grilled steaks for her actual bday. I didn’t get one picture that night but it was a nice evening. The next morning, we got up and drove to El Dorado to the ranch. It was the “rancher’s experience” and we got in 3 rides, plus the kids got to help care for all the animals Dad has his own cabin and all 7 girls were in a bunk room together.
