Lilli's First Camp Out
Matt took Lilli camping today at the deer camp. He's sent me pictures through out the afternoon and it looks like she's had a blast! This is the first trip they have taken just the two of them and I don't know who was more excited.
The final verdict was that she did like camping and wants to go again but at one point yesterday afternoon Matt asked if she liked it and her answer was "I'm not sure yet." Haha, she made it through the whole night but this morning she was ready to go to the deer camp for some cereal and to watch a little tv. Pretty good for a 3 year old though!
Don't feel bad for me being left behind. I've never been too interested in tent camping and especially not 8 months pregnant. To be honest I have been looking forward to today all week. This is the first day since Lilli was born that I had the whole afternoon and night at home to myself. I had a massage, went to see a movie and picked up Monjuni's on the way home. It was almost perfect. I say almost because as I got to the spa for the massage, the power went out as I was going up the elevator. I thought that only happened in the movies! I was stuck in there for over half an hour. They were on top of it and I heard them on the phone with the fire department saying they had better hurry because the woman stuck was almost 8 months pregnant. It was a little scary and a little embarrassing (there were probably 15 people waiting when they got the door open) but they did comp the massage so I guess it wasn't too bad.
All in all it was a good day. Pops took us to brunch this morning before he left too. He had stopped by for the night on the way up to Oklahoma to see some friends.
She asked if she could put a hot dog and a marshmallow in her mouth at the same time. She ate 5 hot dogs over the course of the afternoon! |
