Homegrown


Matt has been working in his gardens daily and I’m starting to enjoy the fruits of his labor. Last week he brought home the first squash and zucchini of the year and grilled that up with some duck. Perfect summer meal. 

And then Sunday he and Lillian made homemade pesto (while I napped- even better!) from the basil in the garden. 

It was WAY better than anything from the store. And I had him grill up a “little” chicken to freeze for salads. 

The kids devoured that one! I can’t wait for fresh veggies daily and it’s getting close!
