Fall Fun
We’ve been enjoying the fall weather this week by trying to get outside some. Lillian asked me to take her to the corn maze last Saturday night with a group of her friends. One by one everybody but Kaylee backed out because they were scared of the haunted stuff but the two girls still wanted to go. So I picked Kaylee up and was glad to finally get some time to talk to her since she and Lillian have quickly become best friends.
I promise they were with us 😉 but Katie and I were not interested in the haunted stuff so they took off and we only saw them about once every 30 minutes while Katie and I played. She found some “friends” (she didn’t know these kids before that night, lol) and ran around for hours.
It was Red Ribbon week at Benton so Lillian had a good week too and got to dress up everyday. Plus, the Governor lifted the mask mandate so she was so excited to be rid of that!! Last night, Kaylee spent the night again and we went to the Benton High football game. Their group of friends went because it was the last home game of the year. I love live games and know lots of parents of players and cheerleaders so it was fun to cheer them on. We brought Landry so Katie wasn’t bored and they had fun eating junk food and watching the cheers 😉
(Gypsy did morning car line for the first time and was wondering where her kid was going)

Katie and I had a good week. We went to a movie one day. Yaya came by after school one day to see their painted rooms, and she rode with us to pick Lillian up from her student council meeting and we got ice cream. And yesterday we went to Cara’s to play with Josie and see their new kitten.

And today, Heather picked them up for a Halloween sleepover. She will miss trick or treat tomorrow because she has to go to Houston every Sunday night for her chemo on Monday morning, so she wanted to do something for the holiday. I gave her the carnival games we used at the camp last year and she had lot of other things planned.
(She’s seriously talented with her cake baking. Those are fondant “fangs”)
Matt and I originally planned to go out. We talked about Superior to watch the band or maybe even somewhere fancy. But in the end, the appeal of a quiet house and realization that we could spend the same amount on a massage and stay in won out. We sure are old! 🤣 But the pets were happy with that decision.
