Winding Down

It’s so hard to believe that tomorrow is the last full day of school for the year! I’m sure they won’t even do too much but it’s the last day of a full 7:20-2:40 day until August. Tuesday is Lillian’s field day and I’m letting her skip because it’s just an hour of games and then they can check out. Wednesday is her awards ceremony at 9AM and then they can check out again, and Thursday is the official last day but she’ll be skipping it. And then that’s it, she’s done with Benton Intermediate and on to the full middle school next year. They had their end of the year field trip to Medieval Times on Friday and Matt had her at school at 6:15 to leave.

She had a great time with her friends and it was the first time she’s ever left town without one of us. I was there to pick her and 2 of her friends up when they got in at 5:00, and we went to Nicky’s and had a sleepover

We all got up and watched Katie play in her soccer game that morning, and then Katie went to Landry‘s while I took the three older girls to see Dr Strange.

There has been some garden work because that’s pretty much everyday at this time of year
Lillian is really working on her Dad to get some chickens and decided to make a presentation with the argument of how good they could be for the garden

I love that she did that in her free time for “fun.” 😊

And today, after church, Sadie Stinson came over for about 4 hours to play with Katie. They haven’t had a play date since she was at our house everyday 6 years ago but they’ve gotten to know each other again at gymnastics and have been begging to get together

They had a lot of fun and asked for a sleepover but it’s a school night. It’s the last time we’ll have to say for awhile though!
