October is Almost Over

It seems like fall has just started, so it’s crazy that October is almost over. I’m having a Christmas sign painting party about a week before Thanksgiving, so my tree will probably go up in two weeks. I’ve already started shopping too! But we know these nice 70 degree days and 50 degree nights don’t last long in Louisiana, so I want to hold on to the fall feeling as long as I can. We didn’t do too much during our fall break. After we got back from Shanon and Alex’s we stayed around the house while I worked and the kids vegged. Which meant we had some very happy animals.

(You can see they were getting bored when Katie made the dogs a tea party 😉) I think the only time we left the house to do anything was to see a movie. Pops came that 2nd weekend of it and we watched a lot of football and he and Lilli played a lot of softball.

Matt got home to hang out with him on Sunday (he stayed until Tuesday) but he had enjoyed spending his weekend in the deer stand

Work and school were very busy but poor Lil got strep the first Friday back. I didn’t realize it was more than a cold that first day, so she couldn’t go to the doctor until Monday and ended up missing 3 days of school. Once she got those antibiotics, she was better about 24 hours later. Which was good because we had a big evening planned for Thursday (last night) and I was glad we could all be there.

It’s been our tradition since Lilli was a baby to get pics at Asbury pumpkin patch, so we had to make it happen before the season is over. Yaya met us and we got some great pics and picked the pumpkins we will carve on Sunday.

I dropped KJ at her last practice at Airline while the rest of us went to Nicky’s, and then we all went to watch her “BeBop With the Blue Angels” for the pre-game show.

She and Sadie have become pretty much inseparable every weekend and had a great time doing this together. And they did amazing! We have a full few days coming up of Halloween festivities, and then it’s time to switch to the Christmas season! (That’s for your Yaya 😉❤️ 😘)
