It’s Been A Good Day!
Today is my birthday and I must say it was a good one. I got to spend the first half of the day playing with Katie and volunteering at Apollo‘s kindergarten Louisiana day.
She got to play with her friends in the bounce house, on a pony ride, with an alligator and snapping turtle. There was face painting and games.... it was a pretty big deal for their school, especially since most of it was done by donation. We donated the king cakes and arranged the pony rides with a friend that owns the Party Barn and lots of other parents got donations for other things. Pretty cool it was able to come together and lots of fun. Although exhausting with 80 five and six-year-olds!
We were going to save the cake for tonight but they wanted it so I let them have it. I had king cake already at the school and was stuffed! Yaya and Hailey brought some sweet presents that I pampered myself with in my afternoon shower before I took a nap. Kind of a perfect day!
They also surprised me with a Kathleen Pate (her Art Workz teacher) piece that I have been eyeing since she started that class.
I just love it! And it looks perfect in our living room. Tomorrow we’re driving to Baton Rouge to have a party with my side of the family. Love a Birthday weekend! ❤️😊

She could check out after so we met Yaya, Hailey and Lane for sushi. That’s one of my favorite meals and she can eat miso soup all day long.

Matt brought home crawfish for dinner (and yes, I was already in my pjs at 5:00😊) and they were delicious and a good size. Even the kids ate them.
