40th Surprise Party

I’ve always wanted a surprise party and Matt knew that and made it happen for this milestone birthday! Apparently he and Janet had been planning for weeks and I had no idea! I thought we were planning to go to dinner at a Mexican restaurant and they got me to Jen’s by claiming they had a dead battery and we had to jump them off. I was so irritated with her because she was making us late 🤣
It was a super fun night and I was so surprised! Especially at the fact that they had hunted down my high school best friends that I have not seen in over five years. The whole family was there and some of Dad and Janet’s friends that I see almost every time we are in town came too.

We had fajitas with all the fixins, plus superior margaritas for dinner.

And the cake was beautiful!!

I had the best time visiting with everyone all night

And the gift pile looked like a kids birthday! 😂
I sure got spoiled ❤️

Even the family that couldn’t make it sent video messages.

It was a night I will never forgot and I can’t thank my family enough, especially Matt. I know he was so worried that someone was going to spoil the surprise but they pulled it off without a hitch and I loved it.

This morning we all met over at Dad and Janet’s for breakfast burritos made from leftovers, and Pops bread French toast, before going to the Crowne Plaza hotel to see Lilli’s artwork on display.

She won a contest awhile back and was selected from all the middle schoolers of Bossier parish. She sure did have quite the fan club!  The whole weekend was so special and it meant so much that I could share it with so many people I love.
