Hate to say goodbye....but good to be home

Friday was our last day in Gulf Shores and at the Sun Princess.  It was kind of a drizzly day so we didn't spend much time at the beach.  We did go down for a walk on the beach mid-morning but spent most of the rest of the day just hanging out at the house.  The weather may have been a blessing in disguise because it kept us all together all day and I think the adults were pretty worn out.  Lilli had a blast all week with her cousins but even she had enough.  She fell asleep in Matt's arms after lunch and I can't remember the last time that happened.  He put her down but a few minutes later she woke up screaming for Mama and that's not like her.  So what did Mama do? Enjoyed my "baby" wanting to nap in my arms because I know I can probably count how many more times this will happen.

After dinner we went out to the deck for our group picture that has become a traditional over the last 3 years.  We got some of the individual families and kids too.  I think we got some good ones.

We had to say our goodbyes before bed because Matt, Lilli and I left long before sunrise.  It's a 7 hour drive and we pulled in the driveway at 9:15.  It was a long, early morning but so worth it now that we have the whole weekend together at home.  Lilli was pretty upset when she realized the vacation was over but she was pretty excited when she walked in to her house today too.  We'll miss everyone but luckily we have another trip planned to see them in less than 2 weeks so we won't have to go too long.  It was a great week and we're already looking forward to another week at the Sun Princess next year.
