Horses and Huntin’

Image
We’ve had some country girls around here lately. Lillian is really getting into her horseback riding and is trying to work out a deal with her instructor to be able to ride more in exchange for work. She’s got this one horse that she really likes and he doesn’t get ridden very often because he can’t be a regular lesson horse after he bucked someone off last year. Prior to that, he was one of Vivette’s best horses so it’s kind of a win-win for her because she wants someone to ride him regularly. That didn’t scare our country girl and her mama was willing to sign the waiver, so she and Little Rock are getting to be friends. She would LOVE to rodeo but I think we are still far from than, and convincing her Dad is a whole other hurdle đŸ˜‰ so she’s happy with her twice a week for now in hopes it will be more soon. We did get to go watch some of her friends in the Benton rodeo last Friday  We left there late and got to the camp around midnight for a weekend of hunting with the family  It turn

First Month of School

It’s officially been 4 weeks since school started and we are making it. The schedule is tiring but I really love it and it’s getting better every day. The kids are so fun and for the most part my classes are good. Some kids are more challenging than others, but no one is outright bad, and I feel like I have lots of support from administration.  Kathleen is making new friends (none of the girls from her class last year are in her homeroom now that she’s in AP classes) and Lillian’s adjusting to high school too. It’ll be interesting to see how the friend group shakes out this year, but the originals are all planning to go to homecoming as a big group with a few new people too. Kathleen has straight As and Lillian has 3 As and a B with progress reports coming out next week  There have been girls nights Pep squad practice and a spirit night  And I’m still working real estate too. I only have one listing and one buyer right now, but it’s enough to take up some of my home time. Koy’s grandpa
