The Week Since The Beach

Image
We left Crystal Beach that Thursday and drove to Baton Rouge. Friday was Nana’s 95th birthday and the family was having a party for her that day and we didn’t want to miss it Matt had gone home a couple of days earlier but drove all the way to Baton Rouge and back to be there to celebrate with us. We had catered fajitas and GranJan made her favorite carrot cake. Charles and Dianne from “the Beck side of the family” made the trip over too. She had a great day and I was so glad so many came to celebrate her.  We left after and drove home late to wake up in our own beds after being gone for a week. I had to work and Sunday was Father’s Day and I wanted to not be washing clothes and unpacking that whole day We had some excited puppies and Koy and Lil may have been a little excited to see each other too.  It was an insanely busy week but very fun. Work is busy with 2 under contract, a listing and a few other buyers I’m showing to. On top of that, we had something everyday. Monday, Lillian b

Crystal Beach Trip

The Craig/Anderson trip of 2024 was a great 5 nights in Crystal Beach. We had an amazing 6 bedroom/6 bath house directly on the water and it was plenty of space for everyone to not get crowded. We got there about 4:00 Saturday and had enough time to walk to the beach before having dinner.  The next day was the full beach day.  We stayed out ALL day long but payed for it. Even though we reapplied sunscreen, it was so windy that we missed lots of spots and hurt. So the next day we only went out for an hour or two, and enjoyed the ocean sounds from the porch the rest of the day. Matt took the kids out that evening to fish and Anson caught his first one! He was so cute and so excited.  Tuesday morning the girls set an alarm to watch the sunrise and it didn’t disappoint! They were super glad they did it.  The house doesn’t have a pool, so we paid the day pass to go to Margaritaville for the day for a change. We ate, drank, layed out and swam for most of the day Dad, Michaelyn and Rick decid

Summer Fun

We are 2 weeks into summer and loving every minute. The girls ended their school year with straight A’s for both So we celebrated with a pool party on the first full day Bossier was out of school. We had 17 kids and 3 Moms came too from 3:00-7:00. It was super fun and a great first day of summer! I’ve been super busy with work with several buyers actively looking and a listing that just closed and one coming up. So the girls have had Plenty of downtime around the house, but we’ve had friends over and done some fun stuff too. We’ve had sleepovers, gone to movies, done some cooking from the garden and played with our new baby chicks that Dolly hatched. Koy’s high school summer ball has started and we went to the first game a few days ago. He played two games because he’s one of four freshmen that is on both the freshman and JV teams. He hit three out of four times he was at bat, and had an awesome play where he threw a guy out from centerfield to third. Madison‘s family closed on their h
