The Week Since The Beach

We left Crystal Beach that Thursday and drove to Baton Rouge. Friday was Nana’s 95th birthday and the family was having a party for her that day and we didn’t want to miss it

Matt had gone home a couple of days earlier but drove all the way to Baton Rouge and back to be there to celebrate with us.

We had catered fajitas and GranJan made her favorite carrot cake. Charles and Dianne from “the Beck side of the family” made the trip over too. She had a great day and I was so glad so many came to celebrate her.

We left after and drove home late to wake up in our own beds after being gone for a week. I had to work and Sunday was Father’s Day and I wanted to not be washing clothes and unpacking that whole day

We had some excited puppies and Koy and Lil may have been a little excited to see each other too.

It was an insanely busy week but very fun. Work is busy with 2 under contract, a listing and a few other buyers I’m showing to. On top of that, we had something everyday. Monday, Lillian babysat Josie while Cara worked. We took her to a movie and they played all day. Katie had gymnastics and Lillian had riding

Tuesday was allergy shots, an inspection, and then a baseball game. The girls each had a friend spend the night that night

Wednesday was pool time while I worked and another ball game. And then the girls each had friends over for a pool party and I had 15 kids here from 7:30-11:00

On Thursday we actually got some downtime during the day before riding and gymnastics again that night. But then Friday, we left at noon to go to Dallas for the Texas Rangers game

It was my first MLB game and we had so much fun! It’s definitely something I would want to do again. The game was fun, but our hotel experience was a nightmare and we ended up driving home and getting home at 2:30 AM. The whole thing is way too much to write, but let’s leave it to we couldn’t fit all six of us and one room with no working toilet. 🤣

I was EXHAUSTED and only got about 4 hours of sleep but it was worth it. I love making these kind of memories with the girls and I’m so thankful for Matt that keeps everything running so it’s possible ❤️
Our original plan was to stay in Dallas for the whole weekend and go to Austin’s tournament, but it got canceled at the last minute and they went to the lake, so we went over Saturday afternoon

We had not seen each other since Christmas and it was so good to get together. We only stayed a few hours because everyone needed sleep (except Kathleen who stayed), but I was glad for the unexpected get together.
We hope we can do it for longer soon!
