Crystal Beach Trip

The Craig/Anderson trip of 2024 was a great 5 nights in Crystal Beach. We had an amazing 6 bedroom/6 bath house directly on the water and it was plenty of space for everyone to not get crowded. We got there about 4:00 Saturday and had enough time to walk to the beach before having dinner.
The next day was the full beach day.

We stayed out ALL day long but payed for it. Even though we reapplied sunscreen, it was so windy that we missed lots of spots and hurt. So the next day we only went out for an hour or two, and enjoyed the ocean sounds from the porch the rest of the day.

Matt took the kids out that evening to fish and Anson caught his first one! He was so cute and so excited.

Tuesday morning the girls set an alarm to watch the sunrise and it didn’t disappoint! They were super glad they did it.

The house doesn’t have a pool, so we paid the day pass to go to Margaritaville for the day for a change. We ate, drank, layed out and swam for most of the day

Dad, Michaelyn and Rick decided to skip that for a daiquiri and nap 🤣

Several of us went on an evening beach walk later before playing a family dice game until late (10:30, lol) into the night.

For our last day, everyone had different plans. Matt went home a day early to care for the pets and garden. Janet, Hannah and Evan decided to take the ferry to Galveston; Chase, Rachel and Anson spent the whole day on the beach, and the rest of us went to lunch, the souvenir store, to get another daiquiri and have some beach time

It’s always sad when it’s time to go home, but I think the first trip we’re both sides of the family all in one house was definitely a success! We are already talking about looking for another house for next year.
