Well it’s official- Lillian is in high school and I’m a teacher! At any other school in Bossier Parish, I’d also be posting about Kathleen starting middle school, but Benton is the only one that has an intermediate for 5th and 6th together. I kind of like it because there is a HUGE difference between 11 year-old, 6th grader and a 14-year-old, 8th grader, and she gets to stay in the younger group a little longer. I will say the school, district and parents have already spoiled me with meals and gifts and I feel like I’ve got lots of support. Matt took Katie to meet hers and she likes her teachers, but didn’t know anyone in her class. She’s in all AP this year so it’s different from the group she had, but I know she’ll make friends again quickly.  The last weekend of summer was fun too. I had a girls night with some friends, the girls had some friends over to swim and they played board games,
